3 injured in Alabama church shooting

An Alabama church was the site of a shooting that left three people injured and a suspect in custody, according to the Associated Press.

The victims were a woman, an infant and a pastor inside the Oasis Church in East Selma, Ala. Police have arrested James Minter for the shootings.

Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson told the Associated Press that the shooting was linked to a domestic issue with the woman and race wasn’t a factor. The pastor of the church is white and Minter and the two other victims are black, the AP said.

The shooting took place a few months after Dylan Roof allegedly shot and killed nine African Americans in a church in Charleston. Roof was arrested for the shooting deaths.
