Incoming White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said President-elect Trump’s speech after being sworn-in Friday would be short but powerful as a call to action.
Speaking on Fox News, Conway said Trump mostly wrote the speech himself and won’t be touching on too many particular policy points. Instead, it will be a summation of Trump’s philosophy.
“It’s beautifully written, it’ll be powerfully delivered, it’s powerful in its simplicity because he basically calls us all to action,” she said.
Conway said Trump is going to get to work immediately with multiple executive orders on Friday, though she wouldn’t be specific on what those would entail.
She said Trump’s speech and his first few days in office will show the American people that he’s ready to work on their behalf.
“In one week’s time, you’ll definitely know this is Donald Trump’s government,” she said.
She added that Trump is sacrificing a lot for his country and expects the American people to do the same, saying “he gave up more power, more prestige than he’ll have” in the White House by leaving his company.
“Donald Trump is a delightfully complex person with some very simple ideas for America,” she said. “A lot of politicians are the opposite.”
