Ten years after the beginning of the end of his NFL career, Colin Kaepernick is going on a book tour to try to make himself relevant again and maintain the fiction that he was some brave, selfless activist.

Kaepernick is touting his new memoir, The Perilous Fight, in which he repeats the same old tired talking points of a college student discovering black political activism for the first time. From the description of the memoir on his website, you can tell that Kaepernick will be covering familiar ground, from trashing the white parents who adopted him to claiming that the NFL was and is a racially exploitative institution. It is an attempt to pretend that an unintelligent man with the intellectual depth of a puddle has something deep and profound to say about what America is.
