Kid Rock makes his pick for president

Rock performer Kid Rock says he will support Donald Trump’s bid for the Republican presidential nominee, according to a Monday news report.

Rock, a former season-long guest on Trump’s NBC show The Apprentice, said he chose to endorse the Manhattan billionaire because Trump is not just another politician, but a businessman who would run the federal government “like a f****** business.”

“I’m digging Trump. I feel like a lot of people, whether you’re a Democrat or a Republican, feel like if you get Hillary or Bernie, or you get Rubio or Cruz or whoever, there’s going to be the same s***,” Rock told Rolling Stone.

The rockstar said he has agreed with Trump’s message for the most part, adding that his rally appearances have been “entertaining as s***.”

Rock endorsed former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney during his unsuccessful 2012 bid. Although he admits he thinks of himself as more of a libertarian than a Republican or Democrat, the entertainer said it was important to pick a side and support someone.

“I’m not an expert at political science or anything. I do try to follow things, obviously. I’m a pretty good, tax-paying citizen of this country,” said Rock. “Let the business guy in there. It’s not really working too well running it not like a business.”
