A Kentucky high school valedictorian got a round of applause at his graduation ceremony after claiming to have shared a quote from President Trump.
Only it wasn’t from Trump, but rather former President Barack Obama, he revealed afterwards.
“This is the part of my speech where I share some inspirational quotes I found on Google,” Bell County High School valedictorian Ben Bowling said. “‘Don’t just get involved. Fight for your seat at the table. Better yet, fight for a seat at the head of the table.’ Donald J. Trump.”
“Just kidding. That was Barack Obama,” he continued.
The cheering crowd went silent after he revealed the true source of the quote, Bowling told the Louisville Courier-Journal. Somebody also could be heard booing.
