Comedian Kathy Griffin mocked White House counselor Kellyanne Conway Tuesday night during a special edition of Comedy Central’s “The President Show,” satirizing her talent for defending “the worst people in history.”
“She’s the cockroach of my administration, please welcome the lone survivor of the Bowling Green massacre,” actor Anthony Atamanuik as President Trump introduced Griffin, who donned the same red, white, and blue coat Conway wore to Trump’s inauguration in January 2017.
Atamanuik added that Griffin’s Conway had “absolutely no conscience.”
The premise of the special was a pretend fundraising drive called “Make America Great-a-Thon.”
Griffin was challenged by Atamanuik during her segment to defend the likes of Charles Manson and O.J. Simpson, which she did, describing Manson as a “family man” and Simpson as a “lady-killer,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
But Griffin balked at spinning Hillary Clinton, claiming that offended her morals.
The TV appearance is Griffin’s latest effort to stage a comeback after she was widely condemned in May 2017 for posing in a promotional photo with a fake severed head that resembled Trump.
