Election News 2010: North Carolina

State of Play:

Sen. Richard Burr, R, has always held a precarious position, but Democrats have been disappointed in their failure to recruit a top-notch candidate against him. Democrats have swept the state’s recent elections, including the 2008 presidential contest. Potential Democratic nominees include former state Sen. Cal Cunningham and Education Secretary Elaine Marshall.
