After showing her work in the Italian and American embassies in Kuwait, Ann Eid, an international photographer with Maryland roots, brings her emotive images to the Artists? Gallery exhibit “Women on the Edge” in Columbia. Her works fuse film, paper and paint. Accompanying the works will be Baltimore native Kathleen Schuman?s alluring paintings.
“For this show, I?ve used my studio as the subject, interpreting the changing light as it comes through the windows and the pigeons that come to observe me from the window ledge,” Schuman says in a statement. “They keep me focused on my work. I enjoyed the process of making texture with gesso and applying layer after layer of paint to tell the story of this space.”
