Dutch Embassy trolls Trump after he retweets assault video

The Dutch Embassy told President Trump Wednesday that the man who assaulted another man on crutches in a video that Trump retweeted this morning was born in the Netherlands, and was punished for his assault under the laws of that nation.

Trump tweeted out that video and others an an apparent attempt to highlight Muslims committing crimes in other nations.

“.@realDonaldTrump Facts do matter. The perpetrator of the violent act in this video was born and raised in the Netherlands. He received and completed his sentence under Dutch law,” the embassy wrote.

Trump shared that video and two others on Twitter that the original Twitter user claimed show Muslim men murdering a boy and trashing objects representing other religions.

In the video that concerned the Dutch Embassy, a man walked up to another man on crutches and began beating him.

The Islamic State has previously published videos of beheading Christians, pushing LGTBQ people off buildings, and other actions to non-Muslims.
