Culprit sought in robberies of students

Police say they believe the same man robbed two Manassas high school students at gunpoint last month, and released a sketch of the robber Tuesday.

Manassas police said one male Osbourn High School student was robbed of his iPod at gunpoint while walking on Prince William Street around 9:30 a.m. Feb. 25. Earlier that day, someone tried to rob another Osbourn student walking on Signal Hill Road around 7:15 a.m. When the student said he didn’t have any money, the culprit rode away on a green mountain bike.

The robber is described as black man in his 20s who is about 6 feet tall. He has a thin build and a dark mole on his right cheek.
