GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (AP) — Police in Orange County say three burglars made off with between $50,000 and $100,000 worth of smart phones and portable computers after breaking into a store in Garden Grove.
Sgt. Carl Whitney says the suspects, described as men in their 20s, used a bolt cutter to cut through a roller gate and then smash open a glass door and display cases at the OzTek Wireless store early Tuesday.
City News Service reports about 100 iPhone 6 smart phones were taken, as well as about 20 iPads, and a number of laptop computers.
Whitney said surveillance footage from the scene showed the suspects taking turns carrying items from the store.
