Mike and Karen Pence test negative for COVID-19 following Trump hospitalization

Vice President Mike Pence and second lady Karen Pence tested negative for the coronavirus again on Sunday.

The two tested negative days after President Trump and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for the coronavirus and just before the vice president is set to debate California Sen. Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for vice president, White House officials told Fox News.

The last time Pence was reportedly in close contact with Trump was inside the Oval Office on Tuesday morning, prior to the first presidential debate. Following Trump’s hospitalization at Walter Reed Medical Center, Pence will be leading campaign events alongside Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Lara Trump, which the president’s campaign has dubbed “Operation MAGA.”

Pence will go head to head with Harris in the first and only vice presidential debate on Wednesday in Salt Lake City, Utah. The two will be seated 12 feet apart out of extra precaution following Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis.
