A new Republican ad aimed at women voters portrays President Obama as a bad boyfriend.
The 60-second spot by Americans for Shared Prosperity features a woman saying she “fell in love” with President Obama in 2008.
“By 2012,” she says, “our relationship was in trouble. But I stuck with him because he promised he’d get better.”
She then criticizes Obama for National Security Agency programs that spied on Americans, overseas problems, federal spending and Obamacare, saying he thinks the only thing she cares about is “free birth control.”
The ad is airing side-by-side with another 30-second one aimed at women, John Jordan, head of the group, told Politico.
The Republican Party has been working hard to win over women voters this year, with one internal report showing that only married women without a college degree prefer the GOP.
