[WATCH] Piers Morgan asks Ann Coulter if she has a thing for Bill Maher

They both have big personalities, big outlets to promote their material, and oceanic differences in political persuasion. Seems unlikely.

Conservative author and pundit Ann Coulter appeared on “Piers Morgan Live” Thursday night in part to promote her new book, Never Trust a Liberal Over 3 — Especially a Republican, but Morgan turned a portion of the interview into asking Coulter to react comments Bill Maher made on his program a couple of weeks prior. After playing the tape, Morgan became more curious about Coulter’s thoughts on Maher himself than Maher the commentator.

“Could you ever imagine dating Bill Maher?” Morgan asked.

Coulter laughed and bashfully looked about the room.

“I’m serious!” Morgan pressed.

“If you were interviewing Margaret Thatcher, would you ask her that?” Coulter joked. “I think not!”

Morgan then broadened his query to include all liberals, at which point Coulter said she wasn’t going to discuss who she’d date, and besides, she can’t take their “little, dinky hybrid cars,” anyway.

The two did eventually address the substance of Maher’s comments, which were made in respect to Coulter’s contention that Democrats have a particular lust for power.

Coulter is set to appear on Maher’s program Real Time on HBO Friday.
