Montgomery County police said officers received a report of a domestic violence incident at a home on the 2200 block of Victor Court shortly before 1:15 a.m. Police said 34-year-old Christopher E. Gardner was at the residence in violation of a protective order issued in late May.

Court records show Gardner was ordered to vacate and stay away from the home and to not contact or abuse the woman.
Gardner refused officers’ requests to leave early Thursday, police said.
After talking with police for more than four hours, Gardner surrendered without incident at about 5:30 a.m.
