There’s been some beef over the ban on fast-food chains on American bases in Afghanistan during the past year, but thanks to Gen. David Petraeus, our soldiers soon will soon be able to have it their way, right away, again.The military 86’d fast-food establishments on smaller outposts several months ago because they were a distraction in the war zone, but Veterans Today reports the new commander has called for restaurant chains to reopen — which means troops overseas could soon get a “taste of home” again.
We called the White House to find out how the fit first lady feels about the return of beef patties, French fries and other greasy grub to the battlefield, but didn’t hear back. Let’s moooove, indeed.
