Clinton: Trump living in his own ‘reality TV program’

Hillary Clinton on Thursday questioned Donald Trump’s ability to distinguish reality television from real life, and said that makes him unfit to lead.

“It is like he is living in his own celebrity reality TV program,” Clinton said at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, N.C., a historically black college. “You know what Donald, this is real reality, this is real people, these are real decisions that have to be made for our country.”

Clinton cited Trump’s performance in NBC’s Commander in chief forum, specifically the Republican nominee’s comments on America’s top general, who he said has been “reduced to rubble.”

“It’s hard to forget what Trump did last night. It was a test, he failed it,” Clinton said. “He trash talked America’s generals. […] And I don’t know if I can be shocked by anything that comes out of his mouth anymore.”

Trump also called Russian President Vladmir Putin a “far more” capable leader than President Obama.

“What would Ronald Reagan say about a Republican nominee who attacks America’s generals, and heaps praise on Russia’s president?,” Clinton said. “We have never been threatened by a single candidate running for president as we have been in this election.”

Clinton has visited Charlotte three times in the past two months. North Carolina starts early voting on Friday.
