President Joe Biden poked fun at himself to open his remarks at the annual Friends of Ireland Luncheon on Capitol Hill Thursday.

“Bless me father, for I’m about to sin,” the president joked, earning chuckles from the crowd. “I just want you to know, I may be Irish, but I’m not stupid. I married Dominic Giacoppa’s daughter.”
