Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday called out CBS News for promoting a new documentary portraying people who help migrants gain access to the United States in a positive light.
The network promoted the documentary, titled “Border Business: Inside Immigration,” Monday with a 30-second video clip showing highlights from the film.
“And just as the migrants change course, so to will the people and the industries that have sprung up, ready to adapt or thwart any attempts to stop them,” a narrator says during the ad.

“Wow! CBS Portrays Human Smugglers as Helpful Humanitarians. Great work guys,” Trump Jr. said in his tweet.
The documentary details the various border-crossing related industries that have thrived as more and more people have attempted to gain access to the U.S. and seek asylum.
These include smugglers, lawyers, cooks, and doctors, according to the network.

In a subsequent Tweet, Trump Jr. continued: “You cant make this up… According to CBS, these smugglers ‘don’t only do it for the money.’ Apparently hoping to show the kindness of the smugglers they interviewed, CBS claimed that the group even offers discounts who can’t afford their price.”
Immigration reform remains as the center of President Trump’s agenda. Last week, he threatened to close the southern border with Mexico if the country did not do more to deter migrants traveling en mass toward America.
“I’m not playing games,” Trump said.

Appearing on Fox News on Tuesday, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said Trump’s floating of the idea to close the border was not a threat but rather a reaffirmation of Trump’s commitment to protecting the American people from the drugs and dangerous criminals he alleges are flowing into the country as a result of broken immigration laws.
“Democrats in Congress are leaving us no choice,” Sanders said. “This is not the path the president wants to take, but they’re leaving us no choice because they’re unwilling to work with us to fix the problem. They’re too busy playing politics rather than doing their jobs.”
