He has written a critical biography of President Trump with the alarming title Fear.
And now famed Washington Post editor Bob Woodward is suggesting that it didn’t go far enough to express his feelings.
Taking his book tour to Frederick, Md., this week, he was asked, “Are you optimistic or are you scared?”
Without pause, the journalist who owns two Pulitzer Prizes said, “I’m very scared because Trump can do things that, look, presidents can start wars.” He added, “It’s pretty scary,” Sunday at the Weinberg Center for the Arts.

Over 90 minutes, during which he mocked Trump and told journalistic war stories, Woodward said the president has been shocking the world and even Republicans in Congress, who he said are “in agony” over him.
“When he was elected, we knew that he was going to operate outside the norm, not normal, OK. But I think the analogy is that if you are going to live in the house, you can’t burn it down. You can change it. You can remodel. But you still have to keep the structure intact. And by questioning all three of the pillars — trade agreements, military agreements, and intelligence partnerships — Trump is risking world stability,” warned Woodward.
