His son killed 49 people during an anti-American, Islamist rampage, but that isn’t keeping Seddique Mateen from a good time presiding over the backyard barbecue grill this July 4th.
According to the Daily Mail, Omar Mateen’s dad will be celebrating this July 4th and making sure to enjoy the day.
“We’ll put up the flags around the yard and celebrate the Fourth of July,” he said. “We’re going to have a barbecue and we’re going to enjoy ourselves.”
Garbed in red, white and blue, Seddique Mateen told the Daily Mail he considers Independence Day “a day of pride”
“It’s our decision what to do,” Mateen said from the in the doorway of his posh home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. “It’s our pride day.”
