FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Historical Society is offering free admission to veterans and active duty military personnel and their families this summer.
The free admission is now available and will continue through Labor Day to the society’s history campus in Frankfort. The offer includes free access to the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History, the Old State Capitol and the Kentucky Military History Museum.
The KHS history campus is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The historical society’s offer is part of Blue Star Museums. It’s a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and more than 2,000 museums across the country.
