Lobbyist and former Republican congressional staffer Nathan Butzlaff — who served under Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Rep. Don Young, and former Sen. Ted Stevens — has picked up his second Alaska town as a client. Cordova, Alaska, population 2,251, has retained Butzlaff’s Capitol Hill firm Jefferson Consulting Group to seek funding for infrastructure. Butzlaff — an alumnus of Wasilla High School, the alma mater of Gov. Sarah Palin — started lobbying in December to win stimulus funds for Kenai, Ak., population 7,686.
