[WATCH] Ron Burgundy wants to “make Rushmore classy”

If Ron Burgundy had his way, people would be able to see his – and his news team’s – bright and shiny faces from space.

The star of “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” is campaigning to replace the faces of the presidents on Mount Rushmore with those of his news team, namely Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) and Champ Kind (David Koechner) in addition to Burgundy (Will Ferrell).

The retro anchorman has even released a video to garner support for his campaign. Tidbits from his convincing argument include:

“If it’s a greatness contest, the news team beats the presidents of Mount Rushmore every time.”

“Did Teddy Roosevelt ever battle a bear? Nope. Has he been the guest of honor at over forty gas station openings? He didn’t even know what a gas station was for heaven’s sake!”

“Let’s make America great again. Not by creating jobs or coming up with groundbreaking ideas, but by putting the greatest news team’s faces on Rushmore.”

“Let’s just do it. This is America. We don’t think; we do.”

The highly anticipated sequel is set for release on December 20 of this year.
