A 23-year-old Annapolis woman told police her ex-boyfriend abducted her and raped her after a car chase early Sunday.
The woman was driving on Hilltop Lane when she saw her former boyfriend, Brian Terrance Jones, 26, driving behind her, said Hal Dalton, a spokesman for the Annapolis Police Department.
She drove her car to Clay Street, where she saw a friend standing outside, and asked him to get into the car to protect her, Dalton said.
As the two continued to drive on Church Circle near Duke of Gloucester Street, Jones reportedly rammed the woman?s car with his car ? a vehicle stolen from his father, Dalton said.
Jones then got out of his car and allegedly approached the woman?s car. The friend got out intending to protect her, Dalton said.
Jones got into the woman?s car and forced it forward, by pressing down on the accelerator from the driver?s seat, Dalton said.
After driving for a short distance, Jones let up on the accelerator and ordered the woman to let him drive, Dalton said. He then allegedly took the woman to Edgewater and raped her near a community center building, Dalton said.
Eventually, Jones took the woman to a convenience store off State Route 50 and ordered her to go in with him.
The woman saw an Anne Arundel County police officer at the Wawa store next to the convenience store and ran to the officer.
As she went over to him, Jones drove off in the car, Dalton said.
Jones was last seen driving the victim?s 1996 silver Chrysler Concorde with Maryland tag 7BRP77.
He is charged with abduction, rape and assault. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call 410-268-9000.
