Who: Oneida Bingo & Casino
What: Received $62,268 in taxpayer dollars in the form of a stimulus grant for work force advancement-training. The money paid for a dozen employees to attend a specialized two-day customer-service training program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
Why it’s an outrage: Stimulating the conversation at the poker table isn’t the same thing as stimulating the economy. The stimulus was passed to create jobs, not to prop up casinos.
