Alaska Sen. protests pat-downs

Alaska State Rep. Sharon Cissna must be fed up with the newest security measures at airports, since she’s opting to travel home by boat rather than flying. The trouble started when she underwent a full body scan at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Sunday, and TSA officials singled her out for a pat-down because scans had shown the Anchorage Democrat had had a mastectomy. Her chief of staff said that Cissna had called the pat-down “intrusive,” but did not elaborate on any further reasons why her condition would warrant a search.
