Rep. Eric Cantor wants to clear the air: His loafers are not knockoffs.
From the whispers in the room at the “The Week” Opinion Awards earlier this week, it seems the roundup of Washington heavyweights were not so much fixated on the questions hurled at the House minority whip during the panel discussion, but rather on whether his shoes were in fact real.
As Cantor made his way from the stage, CNN’s Dana Bash was overheard casually asking the Virginia Republican if his shoes were Guccis.
Cantor’s comeback? Of course.
Like we expected anything less.
