Where are they now?: Mary Key, Lacrosse

Watching her cut through the opposing defense on Homewood Field, it seems as if Key has a sixth sense. She certainly knows where the net is.

In Sunday?s game against Maryland, Key found the net on a no-look, behind- the-back shot.

The Stevensville resident has scored 34 goals and added 24 assists, for 58 points through nine games. She leads the Blue Jays in each of those categories. She is also a clutch, go-to scorer for Hopkins, leading the way with three game-winning scores.

Last season, Key set a Hopkins record with her 32 assists, and she holds the top two points-yielding seasons in school history. Her 87 points from 2005 set the standard.

With another year ahead of her, Key is currently second in career assists, and third in career goals. She recently ascended to the second position in career points in the Hopkins Division I record books.
