42-year-old man fatally shot in D.C.

A 42-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting in Southeast Washington.

Around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 3300 block of 14th Place SE, to investigate trouble. Police found the victim, later identified as George Hardy, of Southeast, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they issued a lookout for a small, black four-door vehicle.

A reward of $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to a conviction in Hardy’s death.
