Secretary of State Hillary Clinton talked to People Magazine about what she plans to do after stepping down as secretary of state in January of 2013. She mainly wants a more modest title — “like closet cleaner,” she told the mag. “I’ve been on the highest tightrope of American and global politics,” she said, noting that, by the time she throws in the towel, she’ll have been a high-profile political figure for 20 years. “I want to do other things.”
The article also notes how many miles Clinton has traveled since taking the State Department top job: 492,646 air miles to 80 countries, with a total of 1,075 hours spent in flight, a record for someone in her position.
So, then, where does she plan to go when she’s finally off-duty? “Oh, I want to go home first,” she told People, “catch up on mundane things like sleep and cleaning closets.”
