At least three more top universities evacuated parts of their campuses due to bomb threats Thursday, following a slate of fake bomb threats at other schools over the past week.
Evacuations were ordered on the campuses at New York University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Southern California in response to the latest slate to bomb threats.
NYU evacuated three buildings and reopened after two hours after being cleared by police.
Cambridge police said MIT received a bomb threat over the phone but determined after two hours that all the buildings were safe. USC evacuated three buildings but reopened them 20 minutes later when they were also declared safe.

On Sunday, Columbia, Cornell, and Brown Universities all received bomb threats. The same happened on Saturday at Miami University and Friday at Yale.
None of the threats were determined to be credible, though the New Haven police said that the FBI was involved in tracking the person who made the threat and that the incidents may be connected.
