As we noted yesterday, former-Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty will be the first Republican on the air in Iowa this year. His $50,000 Fox News ad buy will appear in the Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Omaha, Ottumwa, Rochester, and Sioux City media markets.
The Pawlenty campaign is desperate for any kind of momentum after last week’s rough debate in New Hampshire. This ad buy is clearly targeted at boosting his chances there. The candidate’s web page featuring the ad reminds readers:
