HONOLULU (AP) — The publisher of Honolulu Weekly says the local newspaper is shutting down after struggling to maintain revenue and unsuccessful attempt to try to sell the free weekly.
Publisher Laurie Carlson said in an open letter published in its final issue Wednesday that the paper’s finances have gone from “manageable with great stress to bleak.”
