FORESTVILLE, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County police have identified a man who was killed inside a Forestville apartment during a shootout with an intruder.

Police say 23-year-old Deandre Yates was fatally shot inside an apartment in the 6100 block of Surrey Square Lane about 2 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities say an assailant forced his or her way into the apartment and the two exchanged gunshots.
The assailant fled the scene after the shooting. Police say they are trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
