Scott Walker: Trump’s campaign is a ‘sideshow,’ like ‘watching a car accident’

America just can’t seem to look away from Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker had an apt comparison for the phenomenon Monday morning.

“For a lot of us it’s like watching a car accident instead of focusing on the direction we should be headed. That’s a sideshow out there.” Walker said on Fox News Channel’s America’s Newsroom.

“…The overall media frenzy across this country from one network to the next is focusing on one person when we really should be talking about what we are for and what plans we have to make this country great again.”

The presidential candidate said Republicans should turn their attention away from Trump and should focus any attacks instead on Hillary Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner.

“The real opponent not just for Republicans but I think for most of us in America is Hillary Clinton,” Walker said. “She would be awful as president, and wee need to focus in on that, and I think I’m the best candidate.”
