The Pauls tiptoe around presidential plans

Speaking on the Alex Jones show Tuesday, Rep. Ron Paul, R-Tex., said he’d announce his bid for the presidency next month, the announcement coming the same day that his son, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, told Politico that he thinks his father will likely join the race. An article on the New American hints that Rand himself might even seek a piece of the 2012 action himself.

In the meantime, Ron said he’d soon be making a “token decision” about whether or not to participate in a presidential debate to be held in South Carolina in May, and in the event of his candidacy, he’ll most likely stay with the Republican party, even though Jesse Ventura has said he’d join Ron on the ticket if he were to drop the GOP and run as an independent … if Ventura is offered the job, that is.
