Who: 2011 Healthy Communities Grant Program, Environmental Protection Agency What: EPA gave $35,000 to fund the “Promoting Purchaser Demand” initiative of the Health Resources in Action’s Asthma Regional Council of New England, a program designed to “reduce health disparities, and promote environmental justice and health and safety of low-income and minority populations in New England by increasing the demand for and thus financing/reimbursement of Asthma Services.”
Why it’s an outrage: What this grant is really about is generating more EPA dependents.
