Rep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Calif., and her summer interns won the Internet Monday with a charming song-and-dance video set to Carly Rae Jepson’s “Call Me Maybe.” The video shows Sanchez bopping to the tune in her office and breaking into a choreographed arm dance. Three interns in sunglasses join her. Though not exactly “Soul Train” material, the cute sequence immediately caught fire online.
A rep for Sanchez’s office said that after a tough week of partisan drama, the office wanted to “inject some lightheartedness into the week.”
