Clinton uses King legacy to underscore wage growth

Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton used the eve of Martin Luther King Day to underscore her priorities of wage growth and restoring incomes.

During the Democratic debate Sunday night, she recalled going to see King speak when she was a teenager. She said he “helped to set me on a path to service.”

“I also remember that he spent the last day of his life in Memphis fighting for dignity, and higher pay for working people,” she said. “And that is our fight still.

“We have to get the economy working and incomes rising for everyone, including those that have been left out and left behind.”
