Levi opts for book promo instead of elected office

Seriously, Bristol Palin‘s former flame, Levi Johnston, has better things to do than run for mayor of Wasilla. The Associated Press is reporting that even though the 21-year-old flirted with the idea last year as part of a reality show, he’s now too  busy promoting his new book, “Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs,” to participate in the race on Oct. 4. (And it’s probably just as well, since he hasn’t been able to decide which party he’d run for anyway.)

In the book, he’s said he’s going to “set the record straight” about the Palin family, and he’ll probably include a few jabs at his former flame Bristol, who called him a “gnat” while complaining about his cheating heart in her own memoir, “Not Afraid of Life, which was released earlier this year.
