The morning show that Matt Lauer led for two decades at NBC began tracking him like a fugitive on Friday, just days after he was fired for sexual misconduct.
The “Today” show aired the first picture seen of Lauer since he was fired, which showed him getting out of a Jeep near his home.
“We are seeing the first image of Matt Lauer,” said host Hoda Kotb. “It was taken near his home on Long Island.”

“Lauer is now facing accusations of sexual misconduct by three women who have come forward to NBC, and Variety has reported on accusations from three women,” she said.
Host Savannah Guthrie added that because none of the names of the women have been released, the number of accusers Lauer is facing is between three and six.
“Several former NBC executives said they didn’t know of any complaints, and the network responded saying unequivocally no current management knew about any accusations,” Guthrie said.
