A fire was reported at a building on the Fort Belvoir Army base, officials said.
About 12:30 p.m. Monday, a fire was reported at a building on the south post. Firefighters have contained the fire and are suppressing hot spots, said Don Dees, a Fort Belvoir spokesman.

The building was evacuated, and no injuries have been reported. Fort Belvoir Fire and Emergency Services personnel are being assisted by the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.
Dees said that the building contains administrative offices and a cafeteria, as well as classrooms that were not in use at the time. The building is in the part of Fort Belvoir that is considered the historic district.
