“I think you’ll all agree that you didn’t come to this convention so you could go home and tell your friends how much Al Sharpton impressed you,” said Newt Gingrich Tuesday after Sharpton spoke at an education panel sponsored by Gingrich’s American Solutions.
But impress the big crowd Sharpton did, winning multiple standing ovations as he discussed what’s wrong with American education.
Sharpton began by giving the invocation, saying that he promised “this would be a non-partisan prayer.”
But the mutual love fest could only go so far. He ended by reminding the Republicans that “I have a syndicated radio show if you want a real fair and balanced view of your convention you can listen to it.”
