Actor Tom Hanks played “Doug,” a supporter of Donald Trump in a “Saturday Night Live” skit of “Black Jeopardy.”
Wearing one of Trump’s signature “Make America Great Again” hats and a denim jacket, Doug, facing off against two black contestants, pleasantly surprised host Darnell Hayes (played by Kenan Thompson) again and again with his right answers.
He even elicited a congratulatory handshake from Hayes (which at first frightens Doug), and cheers from the other contestants.
But the event wasn’t without its awkward moments.
“You people are fun. Can I say that?” said Doug at one point.
“We’ll give you a pass this time,” responded Hayes.
Then Hayes revealed the final category, “Lives that matter,” to which the host said “Well it was good while it lasted Doug” right before the skit ended.
