Trump feeling regret over signing omnibus spending bill: Report

President Trump is reportedly experiencing regret over signing one of the largest spending bills in history last month.

According to sources who spoke to Axios, Trump was visibly shaken when he witnessed allies who typically stand in lockstep with him now condemning on Fox News’ opinion shows for signing the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill.

Right-wing pundits blasted him for giving into the pricey liberal requests that did not prioritize the construction of his long-promised border wall. Conservative commentator and author Ann Coulter, who once was one Trump’s most loyal supporters, even suggested he could face impeachment over the bill.

“I will never sign another bill like this again,” Coulter tweeted, quoting the president’s own words, and added: “Yeah, because you’ll be impeached.”

Trump tried to assure his base that he was “not happy” about signing the bill, but did so because his “highest duty is to keep America safe” and the spending bill provided the military budget he sought.
