NBC’s Brian Williams didn’t score well on Monday night for his performance as a moderator of the NBC/Tampa Bay Times debate. Many journalists complained about the dull tone of the debate, and Williams’ wordy questions that had little to do with policy.

According to a calculation by Gawker, Williams spoke just 12 fewer words than Ron Paul, the candidate with the least amount of time during the debate.

Here is how it stacks up:

  •     Mitt Romney: 4,762
  •     Newt Gingrich: 4,165
  •     Rick Santorum: 2,956
  •     Ron Paul: 2,149
  •     Brian Williams: 2,137
