When Jenna Bush was through giving a speech at the Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, she got a bit of a surprise. Mark French, the head of Leading Authorities (a talent agency for speakers), came out on stage to thank Jenna and congratulate her on her upcoming wedding. At which point he presented her with a large, gift-wrapped box, which he said was from her registry.
According to a source on the scene, she looked a little flustered and said, “I didn’t even know I was registered.”

Democratic consultant Donna Brazille was next to speak, and wondered aloud why Jenna was only registered at fancy places like Macy’s and Crate and Barrel. She said if Jenna were registered at Target, she would have gotten her a gift as well.
