Ehrlich raises $2.8M in 49 days, campaign says

Former Maryland Gov. Bob Ehrlich has reported raising $2.8 million over the past five weeks in his campaign to unseat Gov. Martin O’Malley.

Ehrlich’s campaign has spent $3.6 million since Aug. 30 — the start of the most recent reporting period — and now has $1.7 million cash on hand, according to the campaign.

O’Malley’s campaign has not reported his fundraising totals for this reporting period, which ended Sunday. The governor announced $6.5 million cash on hand in early September.

Ehrlich’s campaign says donations over the last 49-day period came from 8,989 donors and the average contribution was $245. More than 98 percent of contributions are from Maryland.
