Donald Trump said Thursday he was shocked to hear that former President Bill Clinton met with Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
“I am just, I’m flabbergasted by it. I think it’s amazing, I’ve never seen anything like that before,” Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity in a pre-taped interview that aired Thursday night.
“When I first heard that yesterday afternoon, I actually thought they were joking. I thought the people that told me was, I said ‘No way, it’s just no way that’s going to happen.’ And, it happened,” Trump added.
The meeting aboard Clinton’s parked private plane at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International airport, which Lynch says was not about the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state.
But Trump insisted the private meeting, if it was indeed about golf and grandchildren, sends the public the wrong message.
